Quick & Easy Smoothie Bowl

Looking to save some precious time in the mornings? Look no further. Slam down on that snooze button because we’ve got the breakfast recipe that takes mere minutes, but will leave you full and satisfied until lunch (or snack time).

We call it our ‘quick & easy smoothie bowl’ and it is packed with nutrients that will make your body happy. So dig out that blender and let’s get started…

smoothie-bowlAll you’re going to need is:

  • 1 cup of berries (we chose strawberries, but any kind should do)
  • A big handful of leafy greens (spinach, kale, chard – you decide)
  • 1 banana
  • 1 cup of fresh orange juice
  • ½ cup of your favourite granola

Blend up the berries, greens, banana & orange juice. Pour your smoothie into a bowl (or mason jar if you’re eating on the go), and top it with the granola.

Some of the nutrients in this meal include fiber, protein, iron, and calcium – just to name a few!
