Educational Farm Tours for Schools | Forsythe Family Farms

Farms make for the best classrooms.

Get outside and connect with nature!

Forsythe Family Farms is a working fruit and vegetable farm located just east of Uxbridge in Durham Region, offering guided educational farm tours for students, preschool through Grade 4, across the Greater Toronto Area and surrounding regions.

What Students Experience

Meet friendly farm animals — learn about them through activities and hands-on interaction
Explore our fields and forest — learn how food grows from seed to harvest
Discover where their food comes from by connecting everyday products back to the farm

Through sensory exploration and hands-on activities, students strengthen observation skills, ask questions, and develop a deeper understanding of food, farming, and the environment.

Why Teachers Choose Forsythe Family Farms
Our school tours are structured to be safe, engaging, and memorable. Students leave with a stronger connection to nature and a clearer understanding of their place in the world through the food they eat and the products they use every day.

Bonus for Teachers:
School groups receive free access to our online educational farm videos, allowing students to preview and review engaging lessons from our working farm before and after their visit.
