Sunday June 7th, Durham Farm and Rural Family Resources (DFRFR) fundraiser
Join us for a fun day on the farm supporting DFRFR. Come and enjoy all the activities available here on the farm as well as a special presentation of Snow White by the the Dufflebag Theatre.
The Queen has always been the “fairest in the land”. Her Magic Mirror tells her so! But when the Queen hears that Snow White has surpassed her, she’s willing to do whatever it takes to get rid of her… forever! Fortunately, Snow White escapes into the Deep Dark Woods, where she chances on a tiny cottage. Little does she know that the Seven Dwarves living there will help save her! The classic story of our heroine, as she encounters hapless Huntsmen, bad apples, and little men with big hearts and short tempers, comes to life as DuffleBag helps Snow White towards her “happily ever after”!

Sunday October 25th Time to press Apple Cider!
The Geissberger brothers from Farmhouse Cider bring in their mobile cider press to turn our Ontario grown apples into sweet apple cider. An interesting process with a very tasty outcome. Get some hot off the press! Their packaging – bag in the box – keeps the cider fresh for a year with no need for refrigeration.
Another great way to celebrate the harvest.
A Time to Pause, Reflect and Get Ready for Winter
Fall is a great time to visit the farm. The air is cool and crisp; the colours in nature are glorious. November makes me think of homemade soup, staying warm by the fire and getting the last of the harvest tucked away for winter nourishment.
We are also looking forward to celebrating the Coming of Christmas – our fresh cut Christmas trees arrive late November.
We still have our farm animals and Barnyard playground available to visit weekends in November and December. Come and get lost in our corn maze. Our wagon rides and forest walk have ended for the season due mostly to unpredictable weather. They will start up again on Victoria Day weekend when we open for the season.
Enjoy the bounty of our harvest by visiting our on farm market – Lot’s of fresh picked apples to choose from including Honey Crisp, and take home some of our delicious fresh baked pies. Check out our Stock up for Winter specials.
Celebrating the Coming of Christmas
It’s the most wonderful time of the year… Christmas, for us, is a special time of the year when we celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ our Lord. A time of joy, peace, love and faith. We love the traditional side of Christmas, seeing families each year who’ve made coming to our farm a part of their Christmas tradition as well as welcoming newcomers.
It smells like a forest as you walk among our fresh cut Christmas trees 🎄. We’ve a great selection of Fraser fir, Balsam fir, Spruce and Blue Spruce trees available. They range in height from 5′-12′ with pricing for everyone’s budget from $30.00 – $120.00 +HST.
