October Harvest Festival

We celebrate the bounty of the harvest each October weekend from Thanksgiving weekend
till Halloween with lots of festive fun.  It’s pumpkin picking time!

Come on out; relax and enjoy time with your family. We are simplifying our festival activities this year due to COVID 19, we want everyone to feel safe.  We're getting back to the basics.  The main emphasis this year is to get outside and enjoy the beauty the countryside has to display.  The fall colours are brilliant this year, the air is fresh and with our farm walks and scavenger hunts you can enjoy some space and exercise.  We still have lots of fun stuff happening on the farm.

Our pumpkin patch is amazing this year.  So many pumpkins its had Farmer Jim dancing.  Our patch is outside of our admission area to reduce congestion.  Come and find your perfect pumpkin.

Daily Activities

  • Enjoy our Barnyard Adventure playground with lots of room for the kids to run and use their imagination

  • Our farm animals love visitors especially when they bring treats.   We also offer you an opportunity to learn with all of our great farm animal fact boards.

  • Tootle around our tricycle and pedal kart tracks.

  • Slide down Billy Goat Mountain, one of our most popular kid activities

  • Enjoy mazes? Check out our No Left Turn cedar maze in our Barnyard Adventure Playground.  Can't measure it in acres but challenges can come in small packages.

  • Play train and tractor

  • Scavenger Hunts - A fun and interesting way to explore the farm.  Check out our Greens on the Farm 9 Hole Scavenger Hunt.

  • Tranquility Trail - enjoy an extended walk around our farm's fields.  We're in a beautiful area and the air is fresh.  Get out and stretch your legs.

The trail takes approximately 45 minutes to walk.  Suitable for ages 6 plus.  The terrain is uneven so good walking shoes or boots and clothing appropriate for the weather is highly recommended.

Plus Weekend Special Festival Activities

  • Take time to get out for a walk down Fairy Tale Lane, through our woods and around our fields. We will not be having wagon rides this year.  Admission to this activity closes at 4:00.  See the farm from a different perspective.  The view is beautiful, the air is fresh.  Dress for the weather, wear boots if there has been a recent rain.

  • Be creative in our craft zone!  Make a memento to take home with you.  Weather permitting we will have a craft area outside for greater safety.

  • Friday and Saturday Oct 30th and 31st   Carve your pumpkins at the farm.

What kid doesn't love Halloween night, the excitement of dressing up and heading out to meet their friends and neighbors.  What parent loves the frantic preparations of carving the pumpkin as you're trying to get an early dinner before heading out with the kids.

We will have a pumpkin carving station available Friday and Saturday for you to have fun carving the pumpkin you've picked and purchased.  Leave the mess with us. (Actually the animals will love all the scraps, seeds and slime  you leave behind)  Take home your pumpkin carved and ready to display.  Basic carving tools will be available.  If you are super creative and have your own special tools for carving bring them along.  We'll post a photo gallery on Instagram of all your artistry.

  • It's Tradition - Sunday November 1st is Apple Cider pressing day.

The last Sunday of our Harvest Festival is traditionally our cider pressing day.  Come watch the Geissberger brothers as they press fresh apple cider for us with their mobile cider unit.  The apples are washed, crushed, pressed and the cider is pasteurized all on the trailer.  A good chance to take home naturally delicious sweet apple cider with no preservatives or sugar added.
